NEWS RELEASE: IABC supports communications professionals in the Hunter and Coastal region

The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is an international professional association of thousands of communicators in over 22 countries, setting a global standard, and connecting professionals around the globe.

The IABC NSW Chapter has established a dedicated group based in the Hunter and Coastal area, to enable regional communicators to meet, connect, network and achieve their career goals.

The Hunter and Coastal IABC NSW sub-group will be run by two local IABC members, Paula Batho and Anne Molloy. Their aim is to provide local support for the hundreds of professionals in the region through events, training and career development.  IABC NSW President, Megan Thomas said, “No matter where you’re at on your career journey in the world of communications, the IABC is a fantastic association to join. It provides a wide range of valuable career tools, and is attracting significant interest from NSW members across the State.”

Paula Batho, Senior Communications Professional at Primary Connect said, “We have received strong support from local marketing, media, brand and internal communications professionals who are keen to establish a networking opportunity at a more convenient location. After a couple of years of virtual connections, there is appetite for in-person gatherings, and the opportunity to receive local mentoring, peer-to-peer learning, and networking with like-minded professionals.”

Paula credits the IABC as having provided her with an invaluable platform to learn and sharpen her skills, knowledge and confidence as a communications professional. If you're a communications professional and would like to find out more about the Hunter and Coastal IABC NSW group, visit the IABC NSW website or contact Paula.
